What We Collect

What We Don't Collect
- Passwords (we use passwordless magic links)
- Payment card data (handled entirely by Stripe)
- Browser fingerprints or tracking cookies
- Data from third-party advertising networks
Data Storage
Location: Data is stored on Hetzner servers in the EU. PriceEdge is operated by a US-based team. See below for full details on data handling.
Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database with encrypted connections. Backups are encrypted and retained for 7 days.
How We Use Your Data
- To deliver the price monitoring service you signed up for
- To send you magic link sign-in emails
- To send price alert emails (if you enable them in Settings)
- To process subscription payments via Stripe
- To prevent abuse and enforce rate limits
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.
Third-Party Services
- Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy
- Brevo — transactional email (magic links, alerts). Subject to Brevo's Privacy Policy
- BrightData — fallback web scraping infrastructure. We pass competitor URLs only, never your personal data
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the EU or UK, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your data
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — delete your account and all associated data (Settings → Delete account)
- Portability — export your price data as CSV (Dashboard → Export CSV)
- Object — object to processing for direct marketing

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the CCPA:
- Right to Know -- you may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected, the sources, the business purpose, and the third parties with whom we share it.
- Right to Delete -- you may request deletion of personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale -- we do not sell your personal information. If this changes, we will provide a "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link.
- Right to Non-Discrimination -- we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
To submit a CCPA request, email support@pricing.benchra.net with the subject line "CCPA Request." We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days.
Delete My Data
You can request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time:
- In-app: Go to Settings and click "Delete account."
- By email: Send a request to support@pricing.benchra.net with the subject "Delete My Data." We will process your request within 30 days.
Cookies & Local Storage
PriceEdge does not use advertising cookies. We use a session token stored in browser memory (not localStorage) to keep you signed in. This token expires after 7 days. No persistent tracking cookies are set.
Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you by email within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required by GDPR Article 33.
